Stopped for a drink at this Supper Club bar. We were sad we had not thought ahead to make reservations since they cut off at 25 dinners. Great atmosphere, nice staff, excellent drinks. A really nice spot to sit for some local nostalgia.
Our "go-to" Friday nights when up North. I've been coming here since I was a child and now with my husband and our daughter the first time this fall. Fish fry is fantastic and love the fried chicken and ribs combo. Combined with their awesome salad bar (can't get enough of the creamed onion salad and pickled watermelon rind), it is always a great meal. And who doesn't love a Golden Cadillac or Pink Squirrel ice cream after dinner drink (or their many others) We make the rounds each time we are there! Betsy is a great hostess and the service is fabulous! We are so glad they reopened as we missed them! We loved their cameo on Old Fashioned: The Story of the Wisconsin Supper Clubs. Reservation are recommended. As long as Ding-A-Ling is around, we will be there to enjoy their great food and hospitality only found in northern Wisconsin.
I absolutely love this place. The steaks and lobster are a favorite. The salad bar is just perfect for a light snack before your delicious meal. I'm looking forward to my first visit this summer.
My new favorite bartender who made us the best old fashions I've had in years. So glad we stopped in and we'll definitely be back to try the menu
Fantastic atmosphere that brings back the era of Frank Sinatra, service was excellent from our waitress: Margarita. Prime Rib and Filet Mingon all done excellent. Just come for the salad bar! The Grasshopper Pie is the ultimate go to, gotta have! Nowhere else coast to coast, do they serve you so much food, including the bread sticks!
A Tradition - full disclosure- I've been going to this supper club since I was child so I'm likely biased. - The highlight of this restaurant is the Milky Way. A dessert drink that will have you coming back over and over. Sure they have great steaks, lobster specials, and other supper club dishes to enjoy on your way toward dessert but save room for a Milky Way or a Pink Squirrel! These are the best adult treats ever, hard pack vanilla ice cream scooped into a blender at the bar, doctored up by Betsy (owner, bartender, and friendly fixture at the Ding A Ling) and poured out into a margarita glass, a dollap of whip cream, a spoon and a short straw (that doesn't do a lot of good) and you are in for a lovely Northwoods dessert that will have you coming back for more (possibly the next day). Not to mention the bat phone at the bar!
Great food and staff. Seafood platter was incredible and the salad bar is awesome. Can't wait to go back! Grasshopper topped it off for dessert.
The old school atmosphere is amazing. Food is delicious. The salad bar...seals the deal. We try to visit every time we are in the area. Betsy does a great job behind the bar. Reservations are a must. Go, go, go!
